Today’s headlines consist of inflation, high gas prices, the overturning of Roe vs Wade, Jan 6th Insurrection Investigation, increased covid cases, the war in Ukraine, Ulvade, mass shootings, airport cancellations, I can go on and on. One may ask why should we have any hope at all? Hope in this climate can be quite difficult to hold on to, along with our own personal struggles. However, when things are more than we can handle, we can be assured that God continues to work all things out for our good and His glory.
In Hebrews 11:1 the scripture reads…”Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” This scripture is a reminder to be confident in whatever we hope for; and I am sure that we are praying and hoping the war in Ukraine ends, pro-life and pro-choice advocates can listen to one another and find resolve because there has to be a better way than the division in what has occurred. I am sure that we hope mass shootings would come to an end and kids/people aren’t killed by those who have the ability to purchase firearms without any checks and balances; and Lord knows we hope inflation and gas prices decrease immediately.
Each of us have experienced many overwhelming life challenges, as well has the challenges endured in our country. We couldn’t see how we would make it through but some how we did. Although our faith was and continues to be challenged, it’s the only thing that helps us overcome one situation after the other. Faith and hope assures us that things will work out because God is with us no matter what. The Lord endured overwhelming persecution & death but He rose to remind us that hope in Him is all the assurance we will ever need to overcome any and all challenges.
Until the Next Blog,
Blessings & Love!
